πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ What is it?

Trips with Kids is a newsletter and blog for international parents who want more independent, authentic, and memorable trips with their kids.

It provides them with weekly:

  • Travel inspiration and ideas for trips with their kids
  • Practical and actionable tips from our trips with kids
  • Travel trends and things that can enhance trips with kids
  • Content that's fun and interesting to read, whether they are planning a trip soon or not

The type of travel Trips with Kids covers doesn't easily fit one definition. It's a mix of relaxation, culture, adventure, good food, fun (for the whole family), and a bit of (good value) luxury sometimes. Importantly: it's about trips that are rewarding for both parents and kids.

What it's not: all-inclusive resorts, low-end budget travel, high-end luxury, package group tours, overly-polished influencer content... nor: a travel blog full of ads and annoying pop-ups!

Meet the Family behind Trips with Kids.

πŸ‘€ Who's it for?

It's designed for international parents with kids aged 0-12, who:

  • Are well-traveled, open-minded, and curious
  • Love discovering new places and experiencing new things, and want to keep doing that with their kids
  • Want to be able to travel as much as before they had kids (or more)
  • Are short on time and ideas for travel that fits the different needs of their family
  • Want to achieve a satisfying work/life/parenting/travel balance
  • Often work in tech and/or run their own business, and mostly work from home
  • Are often already living abroad, and/or have a partner from a different country
  • Usually live far from grandparents, but would like to travel with them more often too.

Are based in:

  1. Europe*
  2. North America
  3. Australia

* We're starting out with a slight emphasis on parents based in Amsterdam, because that’s where we live. But the content will be just as interesting to parents living in London, New York, Mexico City, or Melbourne.

πŸ€” Why?

Traveling with kids is challenging. No doubt. It also comes with fears, like:

  • You won't be able to travel as often as before you had kids
  • You'll have to sacrifice where and how you really want to travel for the sake of your kids
  • Travel gets too expensive to do it as much or how you'd like.

...We aim to tell you in our content that these fears can be overcome.

There's a ton of other travel with kids content out there, but it doesn't quite land:

  • Where can you find personal and trusted tips from parents like you, who travel like you want to?
  • What can you do that fits the new and different needs of your family, that is also rewarding for everyone in your family?
  • You're short on time to find on-point inspiration and tips for your trips with your kids.

But mostly:

It's about living your best family travel life. Your kids will only young for a few years. If done right, discovering and experiencing the world together will be some most rewarding and memorable things you ever do with them.
